This happened over a year ago. I posted this on FB, but no one read it. So, I decided to share it to you about my unfortunate visit to Wave 89.1, which happened around April last year. Anyway, here it goes.
God damn, homie! I can’t believe some DJs of Wave are not visitor-friendly, especially ████ & ███ (can’t drop the DJs’ names). They used to board during the afternoons. I saw those 2, but I didn’t get to talk to them. Oh, Lord, why? Medyo mahigpit sila daw pagdating sa visitors (they’re strict when it comes to visitors). They won’t accept normal visitors, like me, to step in the booth, except popular ones (notably their friends or fellow DJs). Oooh, those snobbish bitches.
Anyway, I ended up having a good chat with the friendly guard there while listening to the station. He used to be the guard of Wow FM. He told me several stories about those DJs of Wave & Wow FM. He said, “Hindi lahat na DJs sa Wave mahigpit.” Now I know some DJs are visitor-friendly, only those guys from that station, thanks to that guard.
It seems that I went to the station at the wrong time, though. Or I should’ve visited another station in the 1st place instead. One great morning ended up with a bad afternoon. Said another visitor, “Binisita ko ang station, pero hindi ako pinayagan ng DJ na pumasok sa booth? You don’t do that to me!”. At least I visited Wave.
I don’t know if I’ll visit Wave again. Maybe, not anymore (unless any of my friends know someone from that station & accompany me there). My visit to Play FM was a success and I expected my visit to Wave to be as successful as the former. Instead, it turned out to be a disaster. I kinda lost my confidence already because of what happened there. Maybe, I’ll stop my station hopping here.
It’s been a year since my last visit to a booth. I have no plans of visiting a station for now. If it’s Retro 105.9, then I’ll visit that station around late this year or early next year.
